From 31st October 2023 the Department for transport has extended the  bus fare cap so that no single bus journey will cost more than £2.
Buses Minister Richard Holden said:
'Bus travel should be accessible and affordable for everyone. We know that people are struggling with rising costs, which is why we're extending the £2 bus fare cap and continuing to put money back into passengers pockets.
This will help to ensure people can get around easily, no matter where they live - connecting them with work,
education, doctor's appointments as well as friends and families - in turn strengthening communities and growing local economies.'
Ourbus are delighted to announce our participation in the scheme. We hope that this will benefit our customers as we all continue to face the strain of rising living costs, and we hope that it will tempt new customers to try the bus saving them money and helping the environment.
The cap applies to all of our Single Fares over £2 so if your return fare is over £4 you will need to buy 2 single tickets.

We look forward to welcoming you all on board our Buses !
